Returns & Exchange Policy for Life Interiors

 
At Life Interiors, we are committed to ensuring you are satisfied with your purchase. This policy outlines your rights and our responsibilities in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), while also addressing the specific nature of our furniture products.

1. Your Rights Under the Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a remedy if a product fails to meet a consumer guarantee. The type of remedy you are entitled to depends on whether the failure is major or minor.
A. Faulty or Damaged Products
If you receive a product that is faulty, has been damaged in transit, or is not of acceptable quality, please contact our customer service team within 48 hours of delivery. You will need to provide proof of purchase and clear photos of the issue.
Major Failure: If the problem is major, you have the right to choose between a refund, a replacement of the identical product, or a replacement with a product of similar value. A failure is considered major if the product:
Has a problem that would have stopped someone from buying it if they’d known about it.
Is unsafe.
Is significantly different from the sample or description.
Doesn’t do what we said it would, or what you asked for, and can’t be easily fixed.
Minor Failure: If the problem is not major, we will choose to repair the item within a reasonable time, offer a replacement, or provide a refund.
For all approved faulty product claims, Life Interiors will cover the costs of return and re-delivery shipping.

2. Change of Mind Returns

We understand that sometimes a piece may not be right for your space. Due to the significant costs associated with logistics, handling, and re-stocking of large furniture items, we have a specific policy for change of mind returns.
A. Exchange or Store Credit Only
For change of mind, we offer an exchange or store credit, provided the following conditions are met. We do not offer refunds for change of mind.
Request Period: You must notify us of your intent to return the item within 7 days of the delivery date.
Product Condition: The item must be in its original, as-new condition. This means it must be unused, unassembled, and in its original, unmarked packaging with all accessories and manuals.
Shipping Costs: You will be responsible for all shipping costs, including the cost to return the original item to our warehouse and the shipping cost for the new replacement item.
Return Process: Please contact our customer service team to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.

3. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or exchange, unless they fail to meet a consumer guarantee:
Custom-made or special-order items.
Items marked as "Final Sale" or "Clearance".
Products that have been assembled, used, or modified.

4. General Terms

All original shipping and handling fees are non-refundable, except where required by the ACL.
We reserve the right to the final interpretation of this policy. This policy does not limit your statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
